Normal Service... (Sep 19, 2005)

Now settling in to new flat. No internet access (BT, why can't you do these things quicker?). Normal service will be resumed in a couple of weeks, so until then, go for a walk, give a stranger a chocolate bar, and wish the telemarketer on the phone good luck. See you in two.

Too bad that Valve seriously F***ed up today, with the update killing our 3rd party mods and our fps. I was like "hey, let's go do some CS:S posing in GMod" and then like "Eh? what's going on? OMG WTH!" Really bad move on Valve's part

Ye. Another untested update. I think the lag a lot of people are getting is due to out of date drivers/pc's not being able to handle the hdr. (nothings using it yet but it was added in the update).
I havent being experiencing lag myself, although my fps has gone from 90-120, to 50-70

Lucky bastard...
Also, the HDR feature is not being used (as far as I can tell) by any game currently on steam (9/24)

I'm pretty sure DOD:S will be the very first and any source map can be made to use HDR.

Yes, dod will be the first.... only 1 hour and 40 mins left woohooo!
And about the update, I was experiencing some lagg at first, but now I think Im running smoother than ever before :D I havent tried any mods since though, probably will tomorrow... or whenever i stop playing dod :P

I understand it'll take a while, but I'd like something new soon!
