de_dust_pcg (May 9, 2005)

So, the news is out - a new Dust map from myself, designed specifically for PC Gamer UK to go alongside a series of tutorials they'll have in their June and July 2005 issues.

The map will be included with the June 2005 issue of PC Gamer UK, which comes out Thursday 12 May (this week) - subscribers can expect to receive it Wednesday.

Screenshots can be found with the original article.

That is all.

No word on the U.S. edition of PCG? Can someone email me this map?

Anonymous Idiot at 02:41 on May 10, 2005

And how much have they payed you? I'll avoid this one for sure.

grammar ninja at 06:19 on May 10, 2005

It also looks like you avoided basic spelling. I know it's hard, but try to think more 'i' and less 'ye'. That'd be 'paid'; something you won't, unless you go back to first grade and start over.

Looks like I'll be buying those issues then :)

GrantaX at 17:48 on May 10, 2005

Looks great, can't wait to play it.
But why does it come with the issues? People can just download it from servers.

Woah! Another Dust map!! I love De_Dust, De_Dust2 is too small, not enough space for snipers and cover.

I really hope it's going to be better then De_Dust!

KONG FU ninja at 20:39 on May 10, 2005

Looks cool, i hope to try it out.

I've always been a huge fan of yours Dave. I even chatted with you a couple of times on Friends.
I always enjoyed your maps and i'm sure this one won't be any different.
Can't wait to try it out.

Pete McCrum at 13:36 on May 11, 2005

What is different?

unknownstranger at 14:02 on May 11, 2005

Hey dave, any word on whether this map will be suitable for competition?

dave at 14:10 on May 11, 2005

unknownstranger: well, that's not for me to decide! We'll have to wait and see.

Azza at 20:29 on May 11, 2005

hey dave is this just on the cd with the magazine or could we download it for free?

Lambda at 23:14 on May 11, 2005

Yes, What about us unlucky US gamers? Will it be in our PCgamer? Or will we have to download it in game?

dackz at 02:56 on May 12, 2005

How could someone who made two official maps not know how to properly clip a map? In this map you can easily get outside of the level and in plenty of areas above the map that you shouldn't be able to get to.

This might be forgivable if it were a beta, but they released something THIS buggy with a magazine of all things? You can't patch something that you no longer have physical control of!
